 - Hastings teens bring video games to life 

A group of high school students competed with each other in a real-life first-person shooter game called Nerf Wars. The students formed alliances, used Nerf guns as weapons and planned to award money to the winning team. 

 - Same hair, different chair

Artist Dale Lewis designs and welds sculptures made out of metal. Lewis displays his sculptures all over the state.

I was a 2014 recipient of the Pohlad Internship, the result of a partnership between the Minnesota Newspaper Association and the Pohlad Family Foundation. In the summer of 2014, I was paid as an intern at the Hastings Star Gazette. In the summer of 2015, I returned to the Gazette to work as a staff writer.
